Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Associates of Texas

At Sammy’s House, we believe that the heart of our mission lies in the unwavering support we receive from our dedicated donors.

Among these exceptional benefactors is the esteemed organization, Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Associates of Texas (PCCA), whose remarkable commitment to our cause has illuminated our path for the past 14 years.

PCCA has been a cornerstone of support for Sammy’s House, and their enduring partnership reflects an exceptional dedication to children with special needs, particularly those who are medically fragile. Their legacy of generosity has transformed countless lives and exemplifies the true meaning of philanthropy.

The Mapel Family

The Mapel family has been an avid supporter of our organization since 2006 and has been a cornerstone of our organization’s growth and success. They are committed to our mission of bridging the gaps in services for children and young adults who are medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed.

Bill served on our board of directors for over 10 years in every capacity. He was instrumental in growing our agency from 12 children to 49. Since inception, Sammy’s House has served over 5,000 children.

Their dedication and tireless efforts have paved the way for countless children to access the care and support they so desperately need. Thank you, Mary and Bill, for your advocacy and protection of children within our community. Their love and dedication inspire us all to continue making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

McCarthy Print

As a certified Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), McCarthy Print has strong roots in Austin, Texas and the surrounding area. McCarthy Print and owner Teri McCarthy are committed to giving back to organizations that support some of our community’s most vulnerable children and their families. Since 2013, McCarthy Print has been supporting Sammy’s House by providing paper, printing services, expertise and guidance on all of our marketing materials and endeavors.

Before McCarthy Print, Sammy’s House was a small nonprofit that served infants and toddlers who were medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed. Seven years later, we are proud to say that we’ve served over 4,500 children and youth and have expanded our programming to include school-aged children, teens and young adults. “McCarthy Print has had an enormous impact in expanding our community footprint by providing us with direction and professional print materials that convey the expertise found within our programs and services”, says Isabel Huerta, Sammy’s House Executive Director.

In addition to providing services, one of McCarthy Print’s employees sits on our Board of Directors and plays an essential role as a member of our Marketing Committee. “I met Isabel Huerta at an event over 7 years ago.  Sammy’s House needed paper, for which of course was easy for McCarthy to donate. Once I visited the school I was hooked, joining the board and providing professional printed materials to showcase all the wonderful things they do for children and their families was in line with the community philosophy of McCarthy Print”, says Sales Manager, Sarah Schenk.

Thank you so much to McCarthy Print for your years of support and service.

CPR Resources

Since 1990, CPR Resources has offered the most entertaining, affordable, accurate, time and cost-efficient CPR, First Aid and other safety training classes in Central Texas, but did you know that for the past 20 years, CPR Resources has been offering these invaluable classes to Sammy’s House’s Early Childhood Educators and staff free of charge?

CPR Resources is run by working firefighters and first responders. Their emphasis on adapting typical safety protocols to best fit an individual’s need (such as how to give CPR to infants or individuals in wheelchairs) is perfect for those working with children and youth of all abilities.

At Sammy’s House, safety is always our number one priority and all employees, interns and volunteers that interact with children and youth must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications, which expire every two years. Typically, the cost of certifications is covered by the employer, but for a nonprofit organization that spends so much of its resources on programs and services for some of our community’s most vulnerable children, these costs add up!

Thank you CPR Resources for supporting Sammy’s House and providing our teachers and staff with the tools they need to provide safe, high-quality care to children and youth who are medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed.
